Jenna is a speech pathologist who works with children and young people who may not rely on speech alone to understand or be understood. Jenna has extensive practical experience exploring a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and strategies. Whilst the way someone communicates is up to them, the success of the communication interaction is about the partners they have around them. Jenna believes the real transformation comes when you focus on an AAC Communicator’s unique environments. Jenna has presented her work at both national and international conferences on the topics of family centred practice in AAC, the value of caregiver AAC training programs, and implementing AAC within early intervention. She is completing a Masters of Disability and Inclusion at Deakin University with a special interest in Inclusive Education for AAC Communicators.
